Hans Apparels Co.

Hans Apparels Co. is located at No. 315 Gst Road in Chrompet, Chennai. We are right on the main road, so we see all the buses and cars zooming by all day long. The building is older and has seen better days, but it serves our needs just fine. We make various types of apparel here, and the sound of sewing machines is the background noise of our lives. We have a group of workers who have been with us for years, and we all know each other's families. It's a busy floor with piles of fabric and thread everywhere you look. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of button and have to scramble to find more. The heat can be tough in the afternoons, but we have some big industrial fans that help a bit. We don't have a fancy showroom, people just come to the back or we send the finished clothes out to the stores. It's a lot of hard work and sometimes our backs ache by the end of the shift. We aren't looking to become a global brand or anything, we just want to make decent clothes that people can wear. The GST road is always loud, but we've learned to talk over the noise. It’s just our daily routine here in Chrompet, making sure the garments are ready on time and the machines are oiled.
