Greenpod Labs Private Limited is located at D. No 33/3, which is also N. No 101, on Muthiah Street. We’re in the Teynampet area of Chennai, zip code 600018. It’s a pretty central part of the city, so getting here is easy enough, though parking is always a nightmare on these streets. We call ourselves a lab, but it’s not all white coats and microscopes. We do a lot of practical testing to help keep food from spoiling. It’s a big problem and we’re just trying to help out in our own way. The office is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment and boxes everywhere. We aren't some polished tech startup from a movie. We’re just regular people in Tamil Nadu trying to solve a real issue. The weather in Teynampet is usually hot, and we’re always trying to keep the lab at the right temperature. We spend a lot of time looking at fruits and vegetables. Sometimes the place smells like a grocery store. We don’t have any fancy speeches prepared about what we do. We just work on the science and the distribution. It’s a lot of trial and error. Some days nothing works, and we just have to start over the next morning. We’re just a small team of folks who care about not wasting food. That’s really all there is to it. We keep trying.
