Govt Chaltlang Higher Secondary School

We are located right on the first floor here at No 1 on Apparswamy Koil Street in Mylapore. You will find us just above the street level, looking out over the busy area. Our school, Govt Chaltlang Higher Secondary School, has been a part of this Chennai neighborhood for a while now. Every morning the students start arriving around eight thirty, and the place fills up with noise pretty quickly. It is not a fancy building, just a regular space with classrooms and desks where the older kids spend their day. Most of us here just focus on getting through the lessons. The hallway gets a bit crowded during the breaks, and you can hear the traffic from the street outside all day long. We have the usual subjects and the teachers try their best with what we have on hand. If you walk up the stairs, you will see the office right away. It is often a bit messy with papers and books piled up on the tables. We don’t really do anything flashy. It is mostly about the daily routine of bells ringing and students moving from one room to another. Mylapore is a busy place, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We just keep things moving along day by day. It’s a plain, working school where the staff and the kids just do their thing without much fuss.
