Government Higher Secondary School Khadda

We are located right on 3rd Main Road in Velacheri, which is always quite busy. If you know this part of Chennai, you know how the traffic gets in the mornings when the parents are dropping kids off. The school has been here for a good while now. It’s a Government Higher Secondary School, so we handle the older students mostly. The building itself is nothing fancy, just your typical government structure with high ceilings and fans that work most of the time. During the rainy season, things can get a bit messy around the gates, but we manage. Most of our staff have been here for years, and they know the families in the neighborhood pretty well. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. People just walk in if they need to talk to the principal or get some paperwork done. The classrooms are usually loud during the breaks, and you can hear the kids playing out in the yard from the street. It’s just a normal school day for us, every day. We try to keep the place tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way in. It’s a practical place for learning. Nothing more, nothing less. Most of the students walk from nearby houses or take the bus. We’re just part of the local landscape here in Velacheri, tucked away among the houses and shops.
