You can find us right on the ground floor of the Jammi Building. We are located at number 63 on Royapettah High Road, which stays pretty active throughout the whole day. Mylapore is a busy part of Chennai, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and people outside our windows. As Government Higher Secondary School Brijisnagar, we have been operating out of this specific space for some time now. It is a practical setup for a school. We have the classrooms laid out on the ground floor, which makes it a lot easier for everyone to get in and out without dealing with stairs. The floors are worn down in some spots from all the feet walking over them year after year. We do not have a giant campus with fields, but we make the most of what we have here in the Jammi Building. During the breaks, you can see students talking in the hallways or heading out toward the main road. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the ceiling fans going as much as we can. Being on such a major road means we are easy to spot if you are heading through the Mylapore area. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the building stays in decent shape for the students. It is a simple place. We don't have fancy decorations, just the things needed for a school to run properly.
