Government Higher Secondary School Basar

Our school is called Government Higher Secondary School Basar. We are located at Vasagam, No 17A Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Street in Saligramam. Saligramam is a well-known neighborhood, and we are right there in the middle of it. The school isn't a massive complex. It’s a more modest setup where we handle classes for the older students. The street can get pretty narrow and busy with cars and bikes, especially when school starts and ends. Inside, it’s just the usual school environment. We have benches, chalkboards, and a few cupboards for books. The building has a bit of character because it’s been around for a while. You might see some cracks in the plaster or a door that doesn't close quite right, but it's home to us. The staff is mostly local people who have been working here for years. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just show up and teach the kids what they need to know for their exams. During the summer, it gets quite hot in the classrooms, so we keep the windows open. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming in through the screens. It’s a very ordinary place for ordinary people. We just do our bit here on Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Street. It's a simple life for everyone involved and we like it that way.
