Good Earth School

Getting out to Naduveerapattu takes a bit of time if you're coming from the main city. We’re located out on the road towards Manimangalam, so it’s much quieter than the schools in the center of town. There is a lot of open land around us. You can actually see the sky here without buildings blocking it. The school started because there was a need for a place like this in the village area. We have a lot of ground space for the kids to run around, which is something we really value. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We have simple buildings and lots of trees that we’ve planted over the years. The dust can be a bit much when the wind picks up, but that’s just part of being out in the countryside. Our staff mostly comes from the nearby areas, so there is a real local feel to how we do things. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets, but we have enough for the students to get their work done. The walk from the main gate to the office is a nice one, especially in the early morning before it gets too hot. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids have a safe place to be while their parents are at work.
