Godavari Traders

Our shop is number 74/1, right near the Ashom Nagar Police Station. Having the station nearby makes the area feel pretty safe, though the sirens can be a bit much sometimes. Godavari Traders is a small operation. We deal with whatever goods are in demand, mostly stuff people in the neighborhood need. The shop is small and packed to the ceiling. If you need something from the top shelf, you have to be careful with the ladder because it’s a bit wobbly. We’ve been meaning to get a new one, but you know how things go. Ashok Nagar is a lively place with people always walking by. We know most of the neighbors and the other shopkeepers. We aren't trying to be the biggest traders in the city. We just want to make sure the inventory is right and the customers don't have to wait too long. Sometimes we run out of things unexpectedly, and we have to scramble to get more. It's just me and a couple of helpers most days. We take turns going for lunch. It’s a basic life, but it works for us. The floor gets swept every evening, but by the next morning, the street dust is back. That’s just part of being in this part of town. We just keep the doors open and see what the day brings.
