Global Trade Link

Global Trade Link is up on the second floor of 67 Sembudoss Street. If you know Parry’s Corner, you know how crowded it gets around here. It is always noisy outside with the traffic and people moving about in George Town. We have been in this 4E unit for a bit now, and it is a tight squeeze with all the files and samples we keep around. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. Being right in the middle of George Town makes it easy for people to drop by, though the stairs can be a bit much if you aren't used to them. We handle a lot of different trade items, mostly just connecting folks who want to buy with those who want to sell. There isn't much to the office, just a few desks and a tea kettle that is always running. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. We don’t do anything too complicated, just making sure the numbers match and the orders are correct. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the internet gets slow, which can be a real headache when you are trying to finish a deal. We have learned to just take it in stride. It is just the way things go in this part of the city. We have been here long enough that we know the neighbors and the local tea stall guy quite well.
