We are up on the third floor of the Kavery Complex, which is at No. 366 in Nungambakkam. It is a busy part of Chennai, and we are right near the Sangeetha Hotel. Most days, you can smell the sambar and coffee wafting up from the restaurant, which makes everyone in the office hungry by noon. Being on the third floor means a lot of trips up and down the stairs or waiting for the lift. We deal with trends and clothing, so there are always boxes of fabric or finished garments piled up near the door. The space is a bit cramped because we have to fit in the workstations and the inventory. Chennai humidity is no joke, so we have a couple of noisy air conditioners that we try to keep running. The office is a bit of a mess with threads and sample pieces everywhere. We don't worry too much about the decor as long as we can find what we need. Nungambakkam is a central place to be, so it is easy for people to drop by, though parking is always a nightmare. We just get on with the work, checking the quality of the items and talking to the people who make them. It is a straightforward operation without any big corporate layers. We just focus on the clothes and getting them out to the shops.
