Gateway Hotel

We are right across from the Perambur Railway Station. The address is No 12 on Perambur High Road. It’s a really busy spot in Chennai. You have buses, cars, and people constantly moving on the High Road. Being right there at the station means we see a lot of action every single day. We’ve been operating Gateway Hotel here for quite some time now. It’s just a straightforward place. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Most of the people who come here are just looking for a room that’s close to their transport. We spend our mornings getting things ready for the day's arrivals. It’s a lot of sweeping and making sure the linens are okay. The noise from the station is something you just get used to after a while. It’s actually kind of nice, feels like you’re in the middle of everything. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure things work. Perambur is a busy neighborhood and we like being part of it. If you’re standing at the station entrance, you can pretty much see us across the road. We don’t do any fancy marketing. Usually, people just walk in because they need a place to stay right then and there. It’s a practical location and we run it in a practical way. Just a local business trying to do things right for the people who stop by.
