My office is located at 12/86, Dr. J.J. Nagar, right in the heart of Mugappair East. I decided to set up here because it’s close to home and it’s a neighborhood I understand well. Doing architectural design in a place like this means you see a lot of residential work. I spend my days sketching out ideas and then trying to turn them into something that can actually be built. It’s not always easy, especially when the space is tight, but that’s the challenge of it. I've got my drafting table in the corner and a computer that’s seen better days, but it still gets the job done. People usually come by with a rough idea of what they want their house to look like, and then we sit down and try to make it work. I don’t have a big team or a fancy reception desk. Most of the time, it’s just me and the sounds of the street outside. Mugappair East has changed a lot since I started, with more buildings going up every year. It’s a busy place to be an architect. I try to keep things practical. There’s no point in designing something that’s impossible to build or way too expensive. I just focus on making sure the plans are solid and the measurements are right. It’s a lot of detail work that most people don’t see until the house is finished and the owners move in.
