Format Architecture & Interiors

We've been at 3, 8th Cross Street for a bit now. Karpagam Gardens is a nice spot to work out of. Most days here start with a lot of coffee and looking at drawings. We do a mix of architecture and interior stuff. It’s mostly just us figuring out how to make spaces work better for people who come to us. Sometimes it’s a kitchen, sometimes it’s a whole house. We don't really have a big fancy office, just a place where we get things done. It gets busy, especially when we have a few projects going at once. We try to stay organized but it's usually papers everywhere. People stop by to talk about their plans and we just sit down and see what’s possible. It’s not always pretty in the middle of a project, but we like the process of it. We've seen a lot of changes around this part of town lately. It’s good to be part of the local community here. We handle the design side and then spend a lot of time on site making sure things are moving along. It’s a lot of back and forth with contractors and trying to find the right materials. We just focus on the job at hand and try to stay honest about what can be done with the space we have. Nothing too complicated, just hard work and getting the details right as much as we possibly can.
