L. Aparna Architectural Designing

L. Aparna Architectural Designing is located at 133, Vaigai Railway Qtrs. on Sterling Road in Nungambakkam. It’s an interesting place to work because being in the railway quarters gives it a different feel than a modern office building. The rooms have high ceilings and it feels a bit more like a home than a business sometimes. We have our drawing boards and computers set up where we can see the trees outside. Nungambakkam is a busy area but Sterling Road has its quiet moments. We spend our days sketching out designs and looking at blueprints. It’s a lot of sitting and thinking and then drawing it all out. We don't have a big staff or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us at our desks with rolls of paper everywhere. It’s a bit messy but that’s how we work best. Being at number 133 means we are easy to find if you know the quarters. The old architecture of the building itself is actually quite inspiring for the kind of work we do. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just design things and hope they turn out well once they are built. It’s a steady job and we like the neighborhood a lot. It keeps us creative without the stress of a glass tower.
