G N K Garments

Over here at G N K Garments, we do things the old-fashioned way. Our address is No 10 Chokkanathar Street in Karthikeyan Nagar. It’s in the Maduravoyal area. It’s a bit of a tight street so parking isn't always easy for visitors. We have a small building that stays pretty cool even in the heat of the summer. We have about ten machines going most of the time. The noise is something you get used to after working here for a week. Chokkanathar Street is a friendly place to be. We know the people at the local tea stall and the owners of the other shops nearby. We don't have a big sign outside, just the number 10 painted on the gate. Inside, it’s all rows of fabric and sewing kits and bundles of thread. We don't go in for fancy decor or nice office chairs. We have stools and big wooden tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our time checking the seams and making sure every button is sewn on tight. It’s not glamorous work, but it is what we know. Maduravoyal has a lot of small shops just like ours. We are just trying to do a decent job every single day. If you drop by Karthikeyan Nagar, you might hear the machines before you actually see the shop. That’s just the sound of G N K Garments at work. We stay here until the last order is packed up and ready to go.
