G. L. S. Impex Pvt. Ltd.

Our place, G. L. S. Impex Pvt. Ltd., is located at No. 3 Om Sakthi Nagar Extension. This is in the Nemilicherry area of Chromepet. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the city center, but the space is good for what we do. We have a fair amount of room to organize our imports. The building isn't new, and the paint is peeling a bit on the sunny side, but it’s sturdy. We spend our days surrounded by crates and the sound of packing tape. Chromepet is a busy suburb, and being in the extension means we have a little more breathing room than the shops on the main road. We don’t really do fancy presentations. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in dusty clothes moving stuff around or sitting at the old wooden desks checking invoices. We have a small kitchen area where we boil water for tea. It’s a simple setup. We focus on getting the goods through customs and into the hands of the people who need them. Sometimes the logistics get messy, especially during the monsoon when the roads in Nemilicherry get a bit flooded, but we find a way to make it work. It’s just us here, doing the daily tasks that keep an impex business running. We don’t need much else besides a working phone and a bit of patience.
