Focus Gallery

We've been here on T.T.K. Road for a while now. It’s right across from where the old Hutch shop used to be in Alwarpet. The traffic out front can get pretty loud during rush hour, but inside the gallery, it stays quiet enough for people to look around. Most mornings start with dusting the frames and making sure the lights are actually working. Sometimes the bulbs flicker and I have to climb up the ladder, which isn't my favorite thing to do. We mostly just keep things organized so when people walk in, they can actually see what’s on the walls. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work. I usually sit at the back desk near the window. If you're looking for us, look for number 59. The sign is visible from the street, though the trees sometimes block it when they get too overgrown in the monsoon. People come in to look at stuff or ask about framing. We don’t do anything fancy with sales pitches. We just show you what we have. Sometimes I forget to put the 'open' sign out, but the door is usually unlocked by ten. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons if the AC isn't blowing just right. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know the neighborhood well. It’s a good spot to be, right in the middle of everything. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping the place going day to day.
