Fine Art Garments

Our shop is located over at No. 28 in the T.V.K. Industrial Estate. If you know Ekkaduthangal, you know it’s a pretty active area with lots of small factories and workshops. Fine Art Garments is one of those places. We aren't some big shiny corporation with a lobby. It’s mostly just the sound of sewing machines and people talking over the noise. We’ve been in Guindy for quite some time now. The building is a bit older, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it’s solid. We spend most of our days making sure the stitching is right and the orders are packed up. Sometimes the power goes out or the machines act up, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing things instead of working. It happens. We usually have lunch together in the small break area near the back. My uncle started this, and now I’m the one making sure things keep running. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most people just know us from being around the estate for so long. It’s a bit dusty, and there’s always scraps of fabric on the floor by the end of the day, but we sweep up and start again the next morning. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We just do what we know how to do without making a big fuss about it. We’re just local people making clothes.
