F. S. Leather Exports

Our place is over at 31/7 on Karpura Street. It’s a small corner of Perimet where we spend most of our time dealing with leather exports. It is not a glamorous job, mostly just boxes and shipping labels and making sure the leather is packed tight. The street outside can be a bit of a mess with all the lorries coming through, but we manage. We’ve been at this for a bit now, just regular folks trying to run a business. We don't have a lot of help, usually just a couple of us moving stuff around the warehouse area. The heat gets pretty bad in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early if we can. Sometimes the shipments get delayed or the paperwork takes longer than it should, but that is just part of the trade. We focus on getting things sent out to where they need to go. There isn't much to see if you visit, just a lot of leather and some tape. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because we are usually too busy sorting through the stock. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside. We just stay busy with our routine and try to keep things organized. It’s been our livelihood for years and we just keep at it day by day without making much fuss.
