Expo Garments

Expo Garments is located at No. 9/6 on Chakrapani Street. We are right in the heart of West Mambalam, which is a very crowded and busy neighborhood. If you know the area, you know how tight the streets can be, especially with all the two-wheelers and people walking around. Our building is just a regular one, tucked in among the houses and other small shops. We do garment work here, mostly focusing on stitching and finishing. It is a small setup, not one of those massive factories you see on the news. We have about ten or twelve people working here on a good day. The space is a bit cramped because we have to fit the machines, the cutting tables, and the bundles of cloth all in one area. It gets a bit noisy with everyone talking and the machines running, but we don't mind it. It’s just the sound of work getting done. We’ve been in West Mambalam for a long time. Most of our staff lives within walking distance, which is helpful when the monsoon rains start and the streets get flooded. We don’t have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just wake up, come to the shop, and work on whatever garments are on the schedule for that day. It’s simple and it works for us. We often share a snack in the afternoon when things slow down for a few minutes.
