Our office and shop are over at No. 21 Errabalu Chetty Street in Parrys. If you have ever been to Parrys, you know how crowded and old the buildings are. We are in an old No. 11 spot on a very narrow street. It is a real challenge just to get goods delivered because the area is so tight. We have been in the hardware business for a long time. The building we are in has a lot of history. We don’t have much space, so everything is stacked up to the ceiling. You have to know exactly where a specific tool or part is kept. It’s a fast-paced environment. People are always in a hurry in this part of Chennai. We deal with a lot of industrial items and general hardware. My grandfather started out in this area and we just stayed. The fans are always running to keep us cool, but it stays warm inside. We aren't doing any big marketing stuff. People find us because we have been here forever. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the items are ready for pickup. Sometimes we have to send someone out on a bike to deliver a small order. Parrys is a unique place to do business. It is loud and busy, but that is just how we like it. We have seen shops come and go, but we keep our doors open every day. It’s just how things are on Errabalu Chetty Street.
