Engineering Consultant

Our office for Engineering Consultant is on the first street of Annamalai Nagar, right in West Mambalam. If you know Chennai, you know this area is always moving and shaking. We are at number 17, which is a pretty standard building where we’ve set up our desks and all our computers. It gets quite noisy outside with the traffic and the local shops nearby, but inside we are usually just focused on whatever design is on the screen. We have been here in 600033 for a good while now. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many physical copies of site plans and old surveys that we just can’t bring ourselves to throw away yet. It’s mostly just us doing the calculations and making sure the drawings are accurate for the builders. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to answer the phones in a polished way. Usually, whoever is closest to the phone just picks it up. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the fans going to beat the Chennai humidity. Work usually starts pretty early before the heat really kicks in. We spend our time between the office and visiting sites across the city. It’s basic, honest work. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a group of people who understand how things are supposed to be built and making sure the plans reflect that for everyone involved.
