Ellora School Of Arts

You can find us at No 2 on the second floor of the building. We are located on the 1st Main Road in Shenoy Nagar. Being up on the second floor is actually quite nice because we get a bit of a view of the street and the trees below. Ellora School Of Arts is usually full of all sorts of stuff. There are sketches taped to the walls, bits of clay left on the tables, and the smell of paint and charcoal is always in the air. It is not a very tidy place, but that is because people are always busy making things. We have a few big tables where everyone spreads out their canvases and paper. Shenoy Nagar is a good area and it feels fairly green compared to other parts of Chennai. We get a lot of natural light coming through the big windows, which really helps when you are trying to get the colors right. The stairs leading up are a bit narrow, so carrying big boards or art supplies up can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We have had some of the same people coming here for a long time. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and nobody is ever rushing you to finish. We just provide the space and the paints and let people do their own thing.
