Ellens Clothing is sitting on the first floor at No.-271/1/A2, right along Alapakkam Main Road in Maduravoyal. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of dust and the sound of horns honking all day. We’ve got our setup here where we spend most of our hours. The stairs are a bit narrow, but once you get inside, it’s just rows of machines and piles of cloth everywhere. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the tailors, and the people who help pack everything up. We see the traffic moving on Alapakkam Main Road from our windows while we work. Sometimes the humidity makes the fabric feel heavy, but we just turn the fans up and keep going. We've been in Maduravoyal for a while now and most of the shops around here know us. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the clothes we send out are decent and that we get the work done by the time we promised. Usually, we're here late on Fridays trying to finish up the week's orders. It’s a simple life, really. We talk about our families, drink a lot of coffee, and make sure the sewing stays on track. It’s just a local business trying to do right by the people who buy from us.
