Ss Engineering

Ss Engineering is tucked away on Kannadasan Street in Ekkaduthangal, at No. 9/7. Like most businesses in this neighborhood, we are all about engineering and making things. It’s a busy little street and you can usually hear the sound of welding or grinding coming from one of the shops nearby. Our place is a bit crowded with machinery and materials, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you'll probably find us on the shop floor actually working on something. We take on various engineering jobs, some small and some a bit more complex. Ekkaduthangal is a good place for a shop like ours because there are so many other specialized businesses around if we need something specific done. The street can get pretty narrow when people park their bikes, so it's a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We have a small crew and we’ve all been doing this for years. It’s not always clean work—there's plenty of oil and dust—but that's the nature of engineering. We just focus on getting the pieces right and making sure they fit together like they are supposed to. We don't bother with corporate talk; we just talk about the job at hand and get it finished. That is how we have always done things. It works for us and our neighbors.
