Jeran Impex

We are located at No. 20/55 Sait Colony, 2nd Street in Egmore. Being in Egmore is quite convenient since it’s so central. We deal with imports and exports, mostly under the name Jeran Impex. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy and keeps the sun out during the hot afternoons. We have a couple of rooms where we keep our files and the samples we show to people. It’s not a flashy showroom by any means. It’s a place where we actually do the work. The street outside can get pretty cramped with cars and scooters, so getting a truck in here takes some planning. We usually have to coordinate with the neighbors to make sure the way is clear. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy promises. We just tell people what we have and when it can be delivered. Most of our clients have been with us for a while because they know where to find us and they know how we work. It’s a lot of phone calls and ledger entries. We still use a lot of paper because it feels more reliable sometimes than the computer. When the monsoon hits, the street gets a bit flooded, but we just put the boards up and keep going. It’s a very local way of doing things, and it suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and work.
