Our office is located in the C.M.D.A. Building, specifically Tower-2 on the 3rd floor in the South Wing-1. You’ll find us on Gandhi Irwin Bridge Road in Egmore. It’s a large building with a lot of different offices, so it can be a bit confusing to find the right elevator at first. We represent the people who make and export finished leather around here. It’s more of an administrative spot than a workshop. We spend our days dealing with paperwork, talking to members, and keeping track of what’s happening in the leather trade. There are a lot of files and old ledgers around the office. It’s a government-style building, so everything is very functional and not very decorative. We have some desks, a few phones, and a lot of tea being drunk throughout the day. Egmore is a busy hub, and being near the bridge means there is always a lot of traffic noise coming up from the street. We aren't selling shoes or bags directly here. Instead, we help the manufacturers with their export details and association matters. It’s mostly about coordination and keeping the records straight for everyone involved. People come in for meetings or to drop off documents that need a stamp. We’ve been in this tower for a long time. The elevators are sometimes slow, and the hallways are long, but we get our work done. It’s a professional environment but without the fancy corporate gloss you see in newer parts of town, which suits us just fine.
