Chennai Cotton Export Mart

Our place is in the basement of Treasure Island at 94 Pantheon Road. If you know Egmore, you know how packed it gets around here. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler during the hot afternoons, which is nice. We handle a lot of cotton goods here. It’s not a huge showroom with bright lights. Most of the space is taken up by boxes and stacks of fabric waiting to be moved. We’ve been at this Egmore address for some time now. Pantheon Road is always full of life, and there’s usually a lot of noise coming from the street level. We get used to it after a while. Most of our day is spent checking inventories and talking to the people who drop off the stock. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting things and keeping track of what goes where. We don't really do much in the way of fancy displays. We just need the space to work and store things. Sometimes the air feels a bit heavy because of all the cotton, but we keep the fans going. It’s a solid location because it’s easy for the transport trucks to find us, even if the traffic in Egmore is a nightmare most days. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. It’s a practical setup for what we do, and we like it here.
