We are set up at No. 389 and 390 on Arcot Road in Kodambakkam. This part of Chennai is always moving, and we are right in the thick of it. We do engineering work, mostly focused on technical stuff that people don't often think about until something goes wrong. The building is older, but it serves us well. We’ve got a team that’s been together for quite some time. We don't really have a big front office; we mostly just work from the desks and the back rooms where the drawings are kept. Arcot Road is famous for its traffic, so we usually get in early to beat the worst of it. It’s a loud area with all the buses and cars, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the projects. We do a lot of calculations and planning. It isn't the kind of work where you see the results immediately, but it's satisfying when a project finally gets built. We don't put out brochures or anything fancy. People find us because they need someone who knows the local rules and how to get things done right. We have our tea breaks together and talk about the news. It’s a small, tight-knit group of engineers. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. We’ve seen the neighborhood change so much, but we just keep doing our thing. It's a steady rhythm and we are quite content with the way we do things here.
