Die Mech Engineers

Down here in Padi, specifically on Vallalar Street in Jegadambigai Nagar, things are mostly about metal and grease. We are Die Mech Engineers and we spend our days looking at dies and mechanical parts that need fixing or making from scratch. The air in the workshop always smells like cutting fluid and burnt metal, which is how you know work is getting done. It is a small street and sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time backing in, which causes a bit of a shout from the neighbors. We have a couple of old machines that have been with us since the start and they still run better than the newer ones sometimes. The floors are concrete and they have got stains that will never come out, no matter how much we scrub. We do not have a website or a marketing team because we are usually too busy with a wrench in our hands. Most of our tools are kept in wooden chests that have seen better days. When the sun goes down, the street gets a bit quieter and we finish up whatever is on the workbench before heading home. It is honest work and we do not try to make it sound like something it is not. We just handle the mechanical stuff that comes our way and try to keep our customers satisfied with the results. Padi is a tough place for industry but we have made our spot here.
