We operate out of a bungalow house, No. 62/40, on Mayor Chittibabu Street in Triplicane. It’s a bit different from your usual factory setup. Being near the Star Theater means there is always something happening outside. Triplicane is a crowded, lively area and we are right in the middle of it. The house has a lot of character, though we’ve filled it up with racks and sewing tables. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when a big order is ready to go out. We walk through narrow hallways to get from the cutting room to the packing area. It’s not corporate at all. It feels more like a busy home where everyone is working on a big project. We’ve got some old fans that hum all day long. We don't have a glossy sign out front. Most people know where we are by now. We don't spend money on ads. We’d rather just keep the machines running. Some of our staff have been with us since the beginning. We drink our tea together in the small courtyard when we get a break. It’s a practical way to work. We don't have meetings about things like vision or corporate goals. We just look at what needs to be sewn and we sew it. If you’re in the neighborhood, you can’t miss the house. It’s been our base for a long time.
