Yes Yes Fashions

Our place is at number 27 on Sigamani Street, though some of the older maps still call it number 18-a. It’s in Sivasankaran Nagar, over in the Nagalkenichromepet area. It’s a bit of a residential spot, so it’s usually quieter than the main roads. Yes Yes Fashions is just our little contribution to the street. We started out here because it was close to where we live. The shop is on the ground floor, so it’s easy for people to just wander in. We’ve got a few windows that let in some light, but it still gets a bit dark in the corners during the rainy season. We don't have a big sign or anything, just a simple name on the front. Most of our neighbors know us by now. We spend our mornings drinking tea and getting the garments sorted. It’s a slow process sometimes, especially when the shipments are late. Chromepet is a nice enough place to work. It feels like a small village sometimes even though it’s part of the city. We don't have many employees, just a couple of people helping out with the daily tasks. We keep the inventory on simple wooden racks. There's no air conditioning, so we just keep the fans running all day long. It's a plain, honest way to make a living, and we've been doing it this way for a long time. The street outside is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache for some people.
