Giga Global Traders

Our office is at 14/15 Sarvamangala Nagar Main Road in Chitlapakkam. Being on the main road is helpful for deliveries, though the dust from the passing traffic can be a bit much during the dry season. Giga Global Traders is where we spend most of our waking hours. It is a trading business, so we are always looking at prices and talking to different suppliers on the phone. The office is a bit of a mess sometimes, with samples and catalogs spread everywhere. We do not really have a receptionist or anything like that; whoever is closest to the door just answers it. It is a very informal setup. We have got a small kettle in the back for making tea, which gets used a lot throughout the day. We do not use any corporate jargon here. If something is broken, we just say it is broken. If we are running late, we say we are late. We try to keep things real and handle our traders with common sense. Chitlapakkam is a nice area, a bit quieter than the center of the city, but it still has its own rhythm. We have been here long enough that we know the local shopkeepers and the courier guys by name. It is a decent way to make a living. We are not trying to change the world, just trying to trade fairly and keep the business running. Most days are just emails and calls.
