Indiana Imports & Exports is based out of No. 3 / 39 Salt Road in Cheyyur. It’s a bit of a drive out into the Kancheepuram district, away from the main city buzz. The air is a bit different here, and things move at a slightly slower pace than they do in Chennai. We spend our time managing the flow of goods coming in and going out. Salt Road is a practical location for what we do, even if it feels a bit tucked away from the main highway. Our office is simple, with just the basic stuff we need to run the business. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, you’ll find us checking on the trucks or making sure the paperwork for the Kancheepuram authorities is in order. It’s a lot of coordinating with drivers and warehouses. The weather can be quite hot out here, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We aren't a huge team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One day you might be on the computer, and the next you might be helping move a crate. We don’t really bother with corporate talk. We just tell it like it is and try to keep things moving. It’s a quiet life in Cheyyur, but the import-export business keeps us plenty busy throughout the week.
