We are located at 121/55 Ramasamy Street in the Mannady area of Chennai. If you know Mannady, you know it is one of the busiest parts of the city. There is always a lot of energy here, with people and goods moving constantly. Chettinad Pvt. Ltd. operates out of this building, and it fits right into the neighborhood. The streets are narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting here, but it is a central spot for business. Inside the office, things are pretty lived-in. We have stacks of files and various samples of materials we handle. It’s a bit dusty because of all the traffic outside, but we try to keep it tidy enough. Most of our staff have been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits. We spend our time on the phone or meeting with people who drop by the office. It gets very humid in this part of Chennai, so the ceiling fans are always on the highest setting. Lunch usually comes from one of the small mess halls nearby. We aren't a big, flashy company with a glass front. We are just a local office doing our part in the supply chain. It’s a lot of manual logging and checking inventories. We like the pace of Mannady even if it gets a little overwhelming during the peak hours of the day. There is a small shrine near the entrance where we light a lamp every morning.
