Nifa Import & Export

Nifa Import & Export is on the second floor of a building in Broadway. Specifically, we are at No. 75, which is also New No. 151, in Room No. 2. If you know Broadway in Chennai, you know it is one of the most crowded places to try and do business. The streets are very narrow and there are people everywhere, but that is where all the trade happens. Our office is up the stairs, and it is a bit cramped with all the files and samples we keep around. We spend most of our time dealing with the port paperwork and talking to customs agents. It is definitely not a quiet office. You can hear the shouting from the street and the horns honking all day long. We have been in this room for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We focus on the import and export logs and making sure the shipments are moving through the harbor like they should. Sometimes we have to run down to the ground floor to meet a courier or grab a quick lunch from the stalls nearby. It is a very functional way of working. We do not have fancy furniture or a big lobby for guests. It is just desks, computers, and a lot of paper. We just stay here and get through the list of tasks.
