Blusclub Clothing is located at No. 3/176 on the Main Road in Kancheepuram. If you know the area, you know how busy the traffic can get right outside our door. It’s always a mix of horns honking and people shouting, which makes it feel very alive, if a bit distracting. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to make do with the space we have. There are piles of fabric everywhere you look, and the light isn't always the best in the back of the shop, but we manage. Most of the day is spent measuring things out or talking to the people who walk in off the street. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to writing out the invoices by hand. Kancheepuram is famous for cloth, so we feel right at home here, even if our daily life is more about the struggle of finding enough shelf space. The rainy season is the hardest because the dampness gets into everything if we aren't careful. We keep a small radio in the corner that plays local stations, and that’s basically our background music while we work. It’s not a fancy corporate setup, just a local spot on the main road where we try to stay busy. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on, chatting with the other shop owners.
