Bhimajibhai Malaviya

I've been working here at New 6, Saraswathi Street for quite some time now. Most people around Mahalingapuram know this spot because it's tucked away but still easy enough to find if you know the turnings. It isn't a fancy setup with glass walls or anything like that. Just a regular room with desks and the usual clutter of paperwork that piles up when you’re busy. My name is Bhimajibhai Malaviya, and this is where I spend most of my daylight hours. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the weather or what’s happening in the news, while other days the phone won't stop ringing. We deal with whatever comes through the door. The street outside can get a bit loud during the rush hour, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan and someone typing. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just trying to do a decent job so we can head home at a reasonable hour. There’s a tea stall nearby that makes some great ginger tea, and that’s usually my highlight around mid-afternoon. People come in, ask for what they need, and we see if we can help them out. It's a straightforward way of living. I don't really know how to write these things to make them sound special, because really, we’re just a small part of the neighborhood doing our own thing day in and day out.
