Azami Leather Co.

We are down here at 14, M.V. Badran Street. It’s in Periamet, which most people know is the heart of the leather trade around here. Azami Leather Co. has been in this spot for a good while now. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, just a regular door on a busy street. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of material and the smell of tanned hides that hits you as soon as you walk in. Most days it’s quite noisy outside with the traffic and the carts going by, but we just get on with things. We spend a lot of time checking through the stock and making sure everything is where it should be. It gets pretty dusty, especially in the afternoons when the wind picks up. We don't really do much in the way of big advertising or anything like that. People usually find us because they know the area or someone told them we were here. It's a lot of manual work, lifting rolls and organizing the shelves. My hands are usually a bit stained by the end of the day. We have a small desk in the corner where the paperwork gets done, though it’s usually buried under some scraps. It’s just how we work. Nothing is too polished, but the stuff we have is solid. We've seen a lot of neighbors come and go in Periamet, but we're still here at number 14, just doing what we do.
