Ath Leder Fabrik

Ath Leder Fabrik is located at K.H. House, No. 2, on Thiru Narayana Guru Road. Most of the people around here still call it Hunters Road. It's right in the Choolai area of the city. Since we work with leather, that strong smell is the very first thing you'll notice when you step inside. It’s an earthy scent that we’ve all grown to like over the years. Our building is one of the older ones in the neighborhood, and it has a lot of history to it. We don't have modern glass walls or air-conditioned showrooms. It's mostly just heavy tables and old tools for working the leather hides. We have a few craftsmen who have been here for decades. They know more about how to handle leather than just about anyone else. We don't use much fancy technology in our process. A lot of what we do is still done by hand with simple tools. It can be slow work sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you want to do it right. Choolai is a very busy part of town, and there’s always noise and people on the street outside. We just stay inside and do our work. We don't really do any advertising at all. People usually find us because they know this address or they've heard about us from a friend. It’s a simple and practical way to run a business.
