As Devarajan

My office is inside Flat No.6 A at the Vijay Shanthi Apartments. It is on Thillayadi Valliammai Street, which is a busy part of Chennai. Being in an apartment building means things are a bit different than a regular shop front. We have neighbors living all around us, so we try to keep the noise down during the day. As Devarajan has been based here for quite some time. The street outside can get quite crowded with two-wheelers and people walking to the nearby shops. I usually get in early to avoid the worst of the traffic on the main road before turning into our street. The apartment itself is comfortable enough for the work we do. We have a few desks set up and some filing cabinets that are getting a bit full. It is a simple setup without any fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is good exercise I suppose. Most of our day is spent handling phone calls and looking over documents. We do not really have a big reception area, so visitors usually just come straight in. It feels more like a home office than a corporate headquarters, which suits the way we like to work.
