Our shop is tucked away on Ambalavanan Street in Arumbakkam. If you see Hotel Vijay Park on the 100 Feet Road, we’re just right next to that area at number 5/12. It’s a good spot because people know the hotel, but the street itself is a bit quieter. We have a lot of different collections stuffed into the shop. It's mostly clothes, and we try to keep things organized, though it's a constant battle with all the new stock coming in. The front door sticks a little when it rains, so you have to give it a good push to get inside. We’ve been running this for a while now. It’s mostly just family involved. We don't really have a big marketing plan or anything. We just put the signs out and hope people come in. The interior isn't anything special—just some wooden shelves and a few mirrors. We spend our time checking the tags and making sure the displays look okay. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, so we're always wiping things down with a damp cloth. It's a simple business. We open at ten and stay until the evening. If the power goes out, we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. It’s a fairly straightforward life here in Arumbakkam. We keep a ledger on the counter to track everything by hand because it's easier that way.
