Our office and workshop are located at No. 167 on the first floor of the Hush Puppies building. It’s right on Alwarpet Street in Chennai, which is a pretty well-known part of town. We go by the name Aridnam Workwear Concepts Llp. Being in Alwarpet means we’re right in the middle of everything, which has its good and bad points. The 600018 area is always bustling with people, and our building is no different. We focus on workwear, so our days are mostly filled with heavy-duty fabrics and sturdy designs. It’s not the kind of stuff you’d see on a runway, but it’s the stuff people actually need when they’re out doing tough jobs. We aren't some massive corporation with hundreds of offices across the country. It’s just us on the first floor, making sure everything is measured and cut properly. The floor is usually covered in scrap pieces of fabric by the time we finish in the evening. We have a small team, and everyone knows their role. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and other times it’s a bit slower and we can leave early. We don't have a polished speech about why we do this. We do it because we know how to make good work clothes that last. Alwarpet Street can get really noisy with the traffic, but once you’re inside, we’re just focused on the sewing. It’s a practical business for practical people who just want to do their jobs.
