Our workplace for Annai Bio Crop Pvt. Ltd. is located at 19 / 4 Puddu Palli Street in the Santhome neighborhood. It’s a busy little area, and our building is tucked right in between a couple of houses. Inside, the space is filled with the scent of the organic products we handle, which is a lot better than the city smog. We have a small team of people who have been with us for years, so we all know each other’s habits. The morning usually starts with sweeping the front step and opening up the shutters. We have an old wooden table where we sit down to go over the day’s plan while drinking some strong tea. The computer in the corner hums loudly, but it gets the job done when we need to send out invoices. Santhome is a historic part of the city, and we like being part of the local fabric here. Sometimes the neighbors come by to ask for advice on their own small gardens, and we’re happy to help out. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any corporate slogans on the walls. It’s just a practical space where we focus on our crops and making sure they get to where they need to go. Every evening, we make sure to lock up the heavy gate before heading home to our families. It is a simple way of doing business.
