Annai Acupuncture Community College

This is Annai Acupuncture Community College over in K.K.Nagar at Karpagam Avenue in Kancheepuram. The building is called Annai Illam and it is not a huge campus with a stadium or anything like that. It is actually more like a large house that we turned into a place for learning a few years back. People come here to learn about needles and the different points on the body. It is a bit of a niche thing but there is a lot of interest in it lately from the community. Chennai can be so loud and fast but our little corner in Orikkai feels a bit more grounded and slow. We have some anatomical charts on the walls and old wooden chairs for the students to sit on during lectures. The fans hum all day long and sometimes it is hard to find a place to park your scooter on the street outside because it gets crowded. We do not spend much time on decorations or looking fancy. Most of our students are locals who want to start their own small clinics or just help their neighbors with their aches and pains. It feels more like a community center than a big institution to be honest. I usually spend my morning sorting out the attendance sheets and making sure there is enough tea for the break. We do not have a marketing team just us few staff members keeping the place running every day at 600001.
