Garque Fashions

We’re located on the 1st Floor at D- 47, 4th St in Annanagar. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to get to us. Garque Fashions is basically just one big room where we do all the designing and some light sewing. There are always pieces of fabric and thread everywhere you look. We try to keep it clean, but as soon as we start working, the mess comes back. The windows look out over the street, so we can see all the people going about their day. It gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the glass, so we keep the blinds closed mostly. We have a few old mannequins that we use to check the fit of the clothes. Sometimes the sewing machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing them instead of working. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. Most of our regular customers know to just come right up and knock. We usually have some music playing softly in the background to keep the mood light while we work on the patterns. It’s a busy little place and there is always something that needs to be finished by tomorrow morning. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the pile of work.
