Sam San Exim

Our place is in Alagappan Towers on the second floor, specifically Ag53. It’s tucked away on 3rd Street in Shanthi Colony, which is a busy part of Anna Nagar. If you know the area, you know how hard it can be to find parking some days. We have been here for a bit, and the office is just big enough for the team and our equipment. We do a lot of back-and-forth communication for the export-import side of things. There is usually a lot of shouting across the room when someone finds a mistake or needs a document quickly. The building has an elevator, but it’s often faster to just take the stairs if you aren't carrying anything heavy. We have a small window that looks out over the street, so we see all the commuters going by. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and staring at screens, but that is just how the business works. We keep a kettle in the corner for making coffee because the days can get long. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a local business handling trade stuff. The neighborhood has a lot of other offices too, so it feels like a working environment. We just show up, do the entries, talk to the vendors, and go home when the work is finished for the evening. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the customs paperwork.
