Royal Apparels

Royal Apparels is based at No. 724 on Poonamalle High Road in Aminjikarai. If you know Chennai, you know how busy that road gets. It’s a major artery, so there’s always traffic humming outside. We’ve been at this address for quite a long time. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and gives us enough room to do our work. We focus on apparel, mostly making garments for different shops and labels. It’s a lot of manual work, from cutting the cloth to sewing the final buttons on. We have a team of tailors who have been with us for ages. They’re like family at this point. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with fancy offices and receptionists. You walk in and you see the work happening right there. Aminjikarai is a busy neighborhood with a lot of history. We like being part of it. Sometimes the rain floods the road a bit, which makes things difficult, but we just keep going. We don’t spend much on fancy websites or brochures. We figure if the work is okay, people will keep coming back. It’s worked for us so far. We just show up every morning, drink our tea, and get to work on the machines. It isn't always easy, and the heat can be tough, but we manage. We’re just regular folks trying to make a decent product for the people who buy from us.
