Anate Clothings Pvt. Ltd. is at No. 6a on Govindan Street, inside Ayyavu Colony in Aminjikarai. It’s a nice enough area, though it can get pretty congested with cars and bikes on the main roads. Our street is a bit narrower, so it’s a bit quieter than the main drag. We’ve been operating out of this building for some time now. It’s a practical space where we handle everything related to our clothing business. We aren't a huge corporation with departments for everything. Usually, the same person who answers the phone might also be the one checking the packing at the end of the day. We like it that way because we stay involved in every part of the job. The office isn't very modern, but it’s comfortable for us. We have old desks and plenty of shelves for our files and samples. There’s a small area where we keep the finished clothes before they go out. We don't spend time on fancy presentations or marketing pitches. We just focus on the clothes and making sure the orders are right. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need many rules. We just know how things work here. Aminjikarai is a busy place, and we are happy to have our spot in Ayyavu Colony. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where we just get on with our day.
