Rukhu Leather Exports

Rukhu Leather Exports is based out of a small street called Gansan Iyer Street in Alwarthirunagar. Our door number is 11/22, and it’s a fairly quiet residential-turned-business area. We work with leather, so the smell of the hides is something you get used to pretty quickly when you walk into our place. It’s a specialized kind of work that requires a lot of attention. We deal with exporting these goods, so there is a lot of packing and labeling involved in our daily routine. The street is a bit narrow, so when a big van comes for a pickup, things can get a little crowded outside. We’ve been here for a good while and the neighbors know us. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just focus on the leather pieces we have in front of us. Some days are slower than others, especially when we are waiting for new stock to arrive. We use simple tools and a lot of handwork for many of the tasks. It’s not the kind of job you can rush. Alwarthirunagar is a nice place to work because it doesn't feel as chaotic as the main city center. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. Each piece of leather is different, so it keeps things interesting for us. We drink our tea while looking at the order lists and move forward one day at a time.
